The lift is a lifesaver. I bought it primarily for my grandmother, who has difficulty getting out of her old recliner and cannot put her feet up on her old one anymore due to her leg weakness. She can't get the stool back down. The chairs size works fine for my 5'6" and 140-pound grandma, and although I'm 5'9", my feet only hang over the footstool just a bit, but it's still comfortable. The seat has just the perfect density; my grandma doesn't sink down into it, and it's not too hard that it hurts her tailbone, which has been a problem in the past with other chairs we've got her. She can sit for long periods without any discomfort.
I didn't really buy it for the massage feature, but it turned out to be one of my grandma's favorite parts. She was tickled by it and never knew she needed it. It quite literally rocked her to sleep in less than 10 minutes while she was watching her Andy Griffith reruns. Although I didn't notice much heat from the heat function, the massage really is great. There are four different modes to choose from, and they are all excellent. I think they could have put me to sleep easily too. My husband is sawing logs in it as I write the review.
It comes in two boxes and requires minimal assembly. Everything just slides together, and then you need to connect the wires. It's not a super heavy chair, so it isn't hard to put together at all. My husband put it together, but I'm pretty sure I could have done it on my own.
If you are looking for a chair for a smaller-framed elderly person, I think they will just love this chair. I kind of want one myself now lol.
This chair is perfect the vibration is not overpowering it is soft and it's not big it's perfect for my room I love it!! I had a horrible experience with the same chair from a different company I'm still in the process of trying to get my money back from that company...but this company that delivered my chair knows how to do business their professional fast and courteous and they have video step-by-step to show you how to put the chair together I couldn't ask for a better chair.
I'm 52 years old, weigh about 250 pounds and have bad knees. My reclining lounge chair had soft cushioned arms. I found it very difficult to get out of the chair and sometimes had to call for help or struggle for several minutes to accomplish the task. I recalled that my dad had had a lift chair and went shopping for one.
This one was reasonably priced, had many desirable features. It was easy to set up, is very comfortable, has heat and pleasant massage modes, the brown color is a close match for my existing couch and chair and I can stand up without any problems.
